Reserves are the “Back up” for our full-time paid deputies. They work many details throughout the year, including charitable events throughout our community. They serve Warrants, Emergency Protection Orders, Civil Process, work Court Security, direct traffic and much more.
The opportunity to serve your community as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff is something to be very proud of and offered only to those who have met the challenge to obtain the standard of the “Skill of a Warrior, Heart of a Servant.” They must want to serve the citizens of Bullitt County with integrity and compassion.
Our Reserve Deputies serve in many different areas, including a law enforcement function at community events, the Bullitt County Fair, charitable events and some high school athletic events. They serve Warrants, Emergency Protection Orders, Civil Process, work Court Security, direct traffic and much more.
Can a Reserve Deputy work in security?
- Reserve Deputies cannot work any paid or volunteer security other than the security details
assigned by the Sheriff’s Office.
